First thing to try is boot with extensions off. Hold down the shift key
while booting, or at least until you see the "Extensions Off" Indication.
Once you're booted, go into the System Folder, then into Extensions, and
drag the "Control Strip Extension" off somewhere. The Desktop, the folder
"Extensions (Disabled)", or even the trash. Might be safest to keep it out
of the trash so as not to risk losing it. That should let you boot up.

As to fixing it and keeping the Control Strip (the little bar at the bottom
that has the controls like Volume and the like), your best bet is to go into
the System Folder, Control Strip Modules and pull everything except Sound
Volume out of it. Reboot, and make sure it works. From there, add them back
in one at a time until it gives the error again, and you've found the
offending module.
