Hi,
Got 8500 and much enjoyed it and since that mac is mostly stock
configuration w/ empty PCI 3 slots. 8500 becomes great machine when
I add stuff to it.
Very interested in info on modifying let it be soldering or firmware
flash which I can do. I have access to decent choices of PCI cards
at peecee shop I work part-time over the years.
1. Video cards, shop has fair choices of ATi cards all of them are
OEM versions. I have Millennium by Matrox and want to convert it to
Mac.
2. What peecee PCI IDE card that is modifiable to work in Mac and
where can I find the info? Web search is little success. I have
fair choices of much newer and much larger capacity IDE drives that
are much faster than older SCSI drives I have. Nearly all scsi I
have are pre 1995 era. I've SCSI modest collection of anything up to
2.1GB and one quantum ST 3.2GB is still slow.
Cheers,
Jason
