You don't want to remove that. It is not termination of scsi bus;
it's termination of power which is the default setting for HD and CD
roms. Besides the 7300 has 2 scsi interfaces. The internal is scsi 2
and the external is scsi 1. Don't focus on the internal devices for
your scanner, as they have their own settings. Normally, you don't
need a termination if you only have one external scsi device and
personally never had problems if I only had one device with no
termination. If you have any other external scsi devices, start up
with just one to make it less complicated. If you have 2 external
devices make sure the each have a unique ID. Make sure your scsi
cable is working properly. I've had a few not work. Make sure the
cables are on right and secure. Install your scanner driver.
