Thanks to everyone for their responses.Jack at OWC tech support gave me
the solution. He wrote that Apple System Profiler doesn't do a very good
job at recognizing PCI cards. He told me to start Toast to see if it
would recognize the attached drive. IT WORKED! So much for my blind
faith in Apple software. :-)
