Hi everyone

I am new to the list so excuse me if I tread on old territory.
I just inherited a 6500/250 and I need to make do with it until Jan when I
can afford a better MAC ( I've been on the PC for the last 13 years and I've
had it)
I must say that even the 6500 works better than my windoze machine except of
course speed wise.

I ordered a G3/400 1m upgrade for it and 128mb of ram
but I wanted to know if

1.there was a video card upgrade that would let me use the machine @
1280x1024
2.how well do the USB/Firewire combo cards work in this thing
3.Max size of harddrive and type this machine could take
4.A way to network this to the PC to access my data

I've looked into getting a 10/100 CommII NIC and using Dave but I want some
feedback on that before i spend the cash. I am relatively Hardware/ Software
savvy but havent deal much with macs until now...

I am going to try to use this machine as stepping stone into the MAC world
and with my rising need to create MAC native files (converting between macs
and pcs is getting to be a pain)

I mainly want this MAC for 2d design, webdesign, scanning, email and
browsing. Am I asking to much of it?
Any advice is greatly appricaited. After all these years on the PC is cant
begin to express how much I love these machines.

Thank you all
Ethan
