I teach math, and took my slide rule to class the other day. The students were actually quite interested in how it worked, but of course the three colour, electonic graphing calculators of today are much more interesting, especially as they can be linked to pass messages, programs, - yes even answers - between students. mind you I can still do calculations in my head before they can get their calculators fired up. Five figure tables... anyone remember those. The thickness of the tables book was a fair indication of how geeky you were at my high school.
