Yup! The log tables. I had a 10" K&E Log-Log Duplex Decitrig - - complete with a magnifier for the cursor and a special leather case to accommodate the magnifier. You adjusted the top segment with a screwdriver and the cursor hairline indexes the same way. If you dropped your slipstick, it took quite a few minutes to realign the thing. Remember when mechanics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics and physics problems were solved to "slide rule accuracy?"
