Just about any functioning, non-differential, SCSI hard drive that you
can cram in, on, or around your Mac will work, providing it has the
proper adapter and termination. Go to the manufacturer's web site and
check out the specifications of the drive you have.
Your 7600 will take two 1/3rd height drives or one 1/2 height drive in
the lower bay and one 1/3rd height drive in the upper bay. The internal
SCSI is 50 pin. If you have to put an adapter on the drive('s) then you
will probably have to add an extension to the power connector. This
about a $2.00 item at most electronics suppliers.
If Apple's HD Setup recognizes the drive great. If it doesn't you can
hack it. The information on how to do this is readably available by
doing a search, or someone here will send it to you. I recommend,
however that you get Intech's Hard Drive Speed Tools and save yourself a
lot of trouble.
