I might suspect a dying battery because of the clock thing. However, I would be very suspicious of a HD that is corrupted in some way. Before you do much else, back you data up. Then I would try and run disk first aid and see what it says. You don't say what computer you are on and that might be helpful. Also, look at any changes you have made recently.
