Hello all,

I have a problem... I just purchased a new DIMM for my power mac 6500.
Turns out the dimm is bad (kept getting bus errors no matter which dimm
slot I installed it in. Even installed it alone) , but now, none of my PCI
cards work. I've removed the new DIMM and replaced it with the one that
was there before. The computer starts up and the internal video works.
Also, the CS II ethernet card I have works. Unfortunatly, the computer
can't use the ATI Rage Orion card or the SIIG USB card. The computer
recognizes that they are there (apple system profiler), but doesn't
identify them properly. It does say that the ATI card is a display card
and that the SIIG card is a USB card, but that is the only part that is
correct. I've moved the DIMMs around in all possible combinations, and
I've tried with both cards installed switching the slots that the cards
were in, and with one card installed again switching the slots. I'm about
to contact coast to coast memory about this problem, but I wanted to make
sure that I had tried everything possible. I'm hoping that it is just the
PCI bridge that apple has installed in these machines.

Any replies please CC to [EMAIL PROTECTED] since I get this list in
digest form.

Thanks
-Randall Smith
