Did you set the handle on the top of the cartridge to the left?
Another position as the most left is for thicker paper, cards, envellopes
etc.
I just had the same problem with a clients SW II and driver CSW 1500.
BTW, don't trust cartridges ever used (and not properly sealed!) or
extremely "overyeared" ones.
I would advise not to use the "alcohol-footbath-trick" but to take a
brandnew cartridge (= incl. printerhead), for it's rather cheap (� US$ 17)
now. You can use a regular Canon (or clone) W-BC-02 cartridge.
