Anyone know why my US Robotics Sportster 56K modem seems "slow" compared to my GV 56K modem? I've tested both with my G3/233 Desktop system and the Global Village modem is definitely faster, for example in loading web pages. I use the US Robotics "High Speed" CCL as well as the "Universal" CCL, both about the same result. Is there some "speed upgrade" procedure one can perform on this US Robotics modem to bring it up to V.90 speed? I went to their website but frankly couldn't find much there for Macintosh except old slower CCLs. Or is it already speed bumped just the way it comes? Thanks for your help!
