The drive carriers on this machine can be a little difficult to budge. What
I did was  stick a flat blade screwdriver under the tab on the upper drive
carrier and pry up gently until I could move the drive.
I also have a tool that will help me remove those power plugs from
drives...they also can be pretty sticky. It's a very long bladed pair of
tweezers that I use to grasp the sides of the power plug, then use leverage
against the drive to pop the plug out.
