Need help here listers. Early this year I bought a power mac 7600 from a
friend. It had two drives, one which he said was not working very well
but since it was working fine at the time of purchase I decided to
install it im my trusted 7500/g3 (the drive was free anyway). It worked
fine until this weekend when norton file saver informed me that the
drive had lost all its data. I tried using DiskWarrior but everything
stalled. Now on starting the computer it kind of stalls when it reaches
scsi id 0 (the second drive). I want to remove the drive but on pulling
it out the power supply is not long enough for it to come out all the
way (it's on the bottom bay). I need to move the top drive, which is my
start up drive, but it's not bulging. Is there something I'm missing? I
don't want to break anything. How can I recover data from the defective
drive? Most of the things are backed up except one program that I
really need. I'm typing this on a ii ci. I did not realize how slow it
is compared to the 7500/G3
TIA.
Peter
