Hello all, I've been a Mac user for several years now. My primary computer is a Motorola StarMax 4000/160 running 9.1. I also have several (as in Way Too Many) older Macs I've picked up at auctions over the years.
My most recent aquisition is a PPC 7300/180 ($40 including monitor with built-in speakers). I need some information about the board. The pci, memory, and video ram slots are kinda obvious, but there are a couple of slots I'm confused about. 1. There's a slot between memory slots A3 & A4 labeled 'Cache'. I swear I read somewhere in my pre-buy research that there were different size cards for it, but now I can't find where I read that. 2. To the right of memory slot B4 there's another slot labled 'Rom Simm'. What's it for? ---------- There's a reason it's called Windows. It lets people see into your computer and breaks easily... ---------- -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
