hi thanks for all who responded about my 4400 ppc.
thanks for the links to PDFs and helpful hints... in the end, I found out you could remove the "overhanging bar"... it's a rather strange thing to be inside a Mac, but the 4400 is a strange Mac. and clearly written, when you move everything aside to see, is marked whether the RAM slots are dual or single supporting... but no where did it say slot 1 or 2 or 3. oh well. good enough thanks everyone. :) matx http://matx.ca -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
