Dear Thierry: Most people would recommend a 9500, and you wouldn't go wrong with one of these.
But an 8500 is even cheaper--they're almost giving them away--and an 8500 holds enough memory and runs at a fast enough speed (with G3/G4 upgrade) to do anything but video editing. I've been using a hot rodded 8500 with 512m memory for three months now, and feel no need for anything faster or more powerful, even for sound editing, page layout and photoshop, never mind ordinary text editing and web surfing.
