Here's my hard disk setup, YMMV. The first is a 2 gig partition which is my System Disk. As the first it's the fastest and that's where I wanted my primary System Folder with OS 9.1 (actually I use a patched version of 9.2 but that's a whole other thread). My second partition is 6 gigs and that is exclusively for OS X and the Classic setup of 9.2.2. All my OS X applications are on there too and so far so good. > So here is the question. > When I install OS X will my 7300 when powered up boot directly into OS X or > is there something that I will have to do to get it to boot into OS X? On the Xpostfacto page is a good utility to setup your L2 cache, use it because it makes a noticeable difference in speed. Once you have OS X installed, your system will boot from whichever environment you leave setup as your primary boot. If you want it to reboot into OS X, then you can do that, however to return to your regular setup, just use the System part of the preferences panel. Remember, essentially what you are doing is creating 2 separate environments here. -- John -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
