Here is a link to a site that I was a member of (and contributor) for many
years.  We compiled a take apart for the 8500 to help people learn how to
install RAM.  I was on the 8500 hardware/dev team at Apple at this time.  My
only disclaimer is that most of us working directly on the 8500 series
screamed for the newer case design (like the 86-9600 which we already had
access to) but Apple Legal still had a problem with "user accessibility."  I
am in no way responsible for the Quadra 800 series case mod design.  Check
