Got a problem here. I recently picked up a 7500 from the local
Goodwill, with a 17" monitor. It came with 48MB of memory, and
everything seemed to work quite well, running 8.6. Looking to speed it
up a bit, I purchased 128MB of ram of the swap list (2 64MB DIMMS,
supposedly right for the machine), and installed it. On startups, I get
bus errors, type 10 errors, and unimplemented traps. Removing it, I can
boot normally. I did all the normal stuff, zapping the pram, hitting
the cuda switch after installation, rebuilding the desktop. Does this
sound like a case of bad memory? If I boot with extensions off, I see
in ASP that the memory is being recognized correctly, but it definitely
is causing major problems. Any other possibilities I may have missed?
