Hello

From your post, you obviously have either the wrong RAM or a defective stick

What you need for your box is :

128 MB 5V FPM 4K Refresh 168 Pin 60ns DRAM Dual Inline Memory Module(DIMM)
Is this what you bought?

My suggestion is to "eat" what you got and/or try to get your money back
from the swap seller and/or move on!

I have had good luck on my 7600 with Velocity Upgrades (tel 714-934-8500 )

Purchased my last 128MB stick for $19.99 on one of their on-line "specials"
. Have seen recent posted prices in the range of $25-30.

good luck

albert
