Here is the Apple web site and all the specs on the 6400 Mac model. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=112383 She has two PCI slots so she could easily add a USB or USB and Fire wire card into one of the PCI slots and run her scanner. I have a Mac Alley USB and Fire Wire card for I think around $35. But then again I am sure prices have changed in a year and a half.
