So... I order my Powerlogix G3 processor and just as I am looking into completing this upgrade pahase with the purchase of a Firewire card and a Firewire CD-RW burner, I see the burner requires a G3/G4, "Built-In" Firewire, and OS 8.6.
Great, 8.6 will work! No problem except for the built-in firewire requirement. This was on a Sony model but I am wondering just how widespread is this issue of possibly having problems with other brands of burners or other peripherals NOT working correctly with a PCI firewire card? I've been doing a lot of eBay searching and compatibility information like this is often non-existent. Anyone??? Thanks, Mike -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
