Hello, I am inquiring about recommendations for IDE controller cards.
I bought an UltraTek 66 which was purported to support booting, but doesn't. It has seen everything I throw at it. It was suggested that it probably has a pirated Mac firmware file in its bios. The second card is an Acard AEC-6260M, which, judging by its compatibility list, _seems_ limited. And it doesn't see any of the drives I've used so far. I won't purchase from Sonnet for boycotting reasons. The machine I am testing cards in is a 9500, 325 mhz G3 overclocked w/ 448 mb ram. The machine the card will eventually go into is a 9600, 400 mhz G3 overclocked w/768 mb ram. Any suggestions?
