Hi I was wondering if it is possible to use a power supply from a Quadra 900 in a PM8500. The Power supply spec's are (From Apple's web-site):
Q900: Max Watts: 303 Amps: 10 BTU per Hr: 1036.26 Voltage: 100-240 Freq Range: 50-60 Hz Battery Type: 3.6V lithium Soft Power: yes Pass Through: yes PM8500 Max Watts: 225 Amps: 9 BTU per Hr: 769.5 Voltage: 100-125/ 200-240 Freq Range: 50-60 Hz Battery Type: 3.6V lithium Soft Power: yes Pass Through: yes I'm far from an expert on this, but to me it looks like the Q900 PS is simply more powerful (can deliver more watts and can take a higher load, (amp)), but I guess it delivers the same voltage and requires the same signal from the battery to start...any opinions or experience with this? regards Sebastian -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
