A grey screen at bootup is virtually always a SCSI Termination issue.

Check with the seller to see if they may have put a new drive in the machine
before shipping it to you otherwise you should open her up and reseat all
of the cables, chips  and cards to make sure that none of them were
knocked loose in transit.
