Hi, I'm actually using an ATI Radeon 7000 on both a 7300 & 9600 w/ 9.1 and
its great. I've tried updating using the 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 installers on
the Apple site, but they won't run on either machines. If you are wanting
to get 9.2.2 just for the ATI card, I hope my story will convince you that
you don't need to do that.

Ahh, I'm doing both! Its really breathed new life into my MACs. I actually
added the Radeon latter and in all honesty, it desperately needed that..
especially for OS X! While OS X is quite useable on these old MACs w/ the
sonnet and ATI cards, its still a bit sluggish in the window manager animations.
you can turn them off of course .. but still I'm impressed at how well it did.

I'm keeping jaguar on another disk but I'll continue using 9.1 for my sound
editing stuff ..

You may have saw my post earlier regarding my system *freezing* .. I was a bit
worried that it was a Sonnet issue .. but, after switching back to the AAUI and
just not using my macwireless PCI card I've avoided the freezes .. Macwireless is
aware of this freezing issue (and apparently its even worse in 9.2.2 !) and are
working to get it resolved.
