Hello all,
I'm soliciting some advice on upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2.2 on my
7600 in order to be able to start using the ATI Radeon 7000 which
is to arrive tomorrow.

I downloaded the Old World patch kits for the Mac OS 9.2.1 and 9.2.2
updates. Following the instructions, I created a fresh 9.1 install in
a parition and then applied the patched 9.2.1 and 9.2.2 Update kits
(the so-called Old World 9.2.1/.2 Updates) and have successfully built
a working 9.2.2 system. Now I want to transfer my settings, perferences,
control panels, extensions, etc. from my default 9.1 system to this new
system which then will then replace the 9.1 system on the "Boot" volume.

My plan is to install Conflict Catcher on the 9.2.2 system and use
the System Merge utility to move the stuff from the 9.1 to the 9.2.2
system (while running under 9.2.2). Does anyone have any comments
(positive or negative) on this plan?

First a Radeon 7000 then upgrade to a Sonnet G4/800 and sometime
*Real Soon Now* I'll install and startup using 10.2. Sigh!
