Well, according to apple-history.com, it's 16-bit sound. Outside of that, I can only find "Integrated Apple sound," though I *vaguely* recall seeing a Crystal chip in there - known for, among other things, sound cards. (Though they *are* a semiconductor co, and that chip could be anything.) Don't recall... did Creative ever do a Sound Blaster/Mac?
