Anyone else have any suggestions? Definitely be ready to copy and know what you are going to try to find beforehand. Opening and closing windows can be the "last" thing you do, so be judicious with each move and don't spend any time scratching your head while it's running. Now, open the case and release the sled from the rails, leaving the drive connected. Boot the computer, and as it boots smack the drive smartly on the flat side while holding it clear of the machine with the other hand. If it boots, place it gently in its place (don't bother seating the sled) and get to bidniss. If it doesn't, repeat the process. If it never does, give up and don't sue me. There are clean-room recovery facilities, but the expense involved would mandate there be really valuable data on it (multihundred$$$) -- All the best, R.A. Cantrell
