Funny ... I have ordered several gigabytes of RAM from both companies, and 
the only stick I've had to return have come from OWC.

Additionally, if you look very closely, you may find that the "raw" boards 
are identical between these two companies, while the only difference may be: 
1) the brand and part number of the DRAM chip used (most DRAM chips are 
bought on the "spot market", so there is little consistency between orders 
... from either company), and/or 2) the number of voltage regulators used 
(some orders use one, while other orders use two ... the "raw" board supports 
one or two voltage regulators ... H*ell, perhaps even none, if 3.3/5 volt 
chips were used).

I've had only ONE bad stick between the two companies: one from OWC and none 
from VU.

Naturally, YMMV.
