Norton Utilities compatability depends on the version of the Mac operating
system you are using. I can't recall the details of which versions go with
which. I do recall that there was a problem of using too old a version of NU
on certain versions of the Mac OS. It was said that you could even cause
disk damage. So I'd be careful.
In fact, why not get a newer version of NU. OWC is still selling Norton
Systemworks for $9, and this is compatable with all versions thru OS9.2.2

What is significant fragmentation? I bench tested badly fragmented vs
de-fragmented disks and could not measure a speed difference.
