Later he admitted that he falsified all the numbers in his work to "get the issue of extinction onto political agenda's." The US Fish and game coupled with the Environmental Defense Fund Group (a Green Inc. group) and conducted their own study in the 70's in response to the alarming news that this British Scientist had reported, and the found that we were currently losing less than 200 species a decade, and 99% of those species were insects. There are less than 1000 documented extinctions since 1600, out of a total estimated 1.6 million species. Do the math.
