Hi, I have a PM7300/200 with 256 MB of RAM and running OS 9.1. I have in
the PCI slots an ATI Rage 128 from my B&W, a firewire card, and a USB card.
I'm currently using an IBM 18GB hard drive that has been formatted using
FWBs HDT and it uses FWBs drivers. Now the hard drive is 80-pin and I have
it connected using an 80pin to 50/68 pin adapter. On the SCSI chain I have
the stock 2GB drive (which is dead) as the last drive and it only acts as a
terminator; mind you if I disconnect the 2GB drive and replace it with the
18GB drive, the computer won't start up for some reason. The 18GB drive is
next and then the CD-ROM. I've been trying to use iMovie2 but every time I
try to download a movie from the Digi-Cam I can only get a few seconds then
I get the error message that my disk is too slow. The specs on the IBM site
says that this particular drive runs at 7200rpms. Any idea why I keep
getting the error message? Thanks in advance. Would my Adaptec SCSI 2906
card in my B&W be of any help here? Just wondering.
