The Sonnet software worked flawlessly for me and it is markedly faster of
the 2.

First, you might want to consider running them on separate partitions just
in case.  If OS X goes down and you need to reformat you won't hurt OS 9.

It's really that simple!  I have run into no limitations and I'm using a
Powermac 7600 with a Sonnet G4/800 mhz upgrade card and an ATI Radeon 7000
video card.
