I stuck a Sonnet G4 800 Mhz card into my Daystar Genesis the first week they
became available. I think I was possibly the first person in Ontario to get
one. What determined my purchase was in part the price. These things are
selling for EXACTLY 50% of what they were to be priced at according to the
first reports.

Since I replaced an 800 Mhz 604e array of four 200 Mhz processors with a single
800 Mhz G4 I did not notice the vast increase in speed that I would have if I
had started with a single 150 or 180 Mhz 604e processor.

But it is FAST.

All I need now is a PCI ATA card and I can throw in a 40 or 60 gig IDE hard
drive and dump some of these clunky SCSI drives....and install Jaguar.
