Don,

I've used three different Epsons to this point, and I find that there is
little corrilation (sp) between the amount of ink that the utility shows,
and what is actually available. The same thing has happend to me several
times: utility says I'm half or 1/3 full, but every time I clean the nozzles
the print test pattern gets worse. Out of ink!

If memory serves (that's a loaded assumption), if you press and hold down
the paper advance button on the printer for several seconds, the inks will
eventually move to center and allow you to change them out. Check your
manual to be sure; if you don't have the owner's manual, you can download it
from Epson's web site for free (get the latest driver for your printer at
the same time).
