TechToolPro3 is telling me that I have 2 major software conflicts so I've been trying to follow the instructions to repair.
The report tells me that Control Panel PPP Menu 2.0.3 is not compatible with OS 8.5 and to go to http://www.rockstar for an update. I don't see an update there. I recently upgraded to OS 8.5 then 8.6 and am connecting on dial up with a 56k modem with Remote Access which connects with TCP/IP via PPP using PPP Server...sounds a little like the hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the knee bone, the knee bone's connected to the shin bone.... lalalala.... sorry about that.... when I asked a Mac friend, he said to toss Remote Access and get FreePPP... heck I had FreePPP in 1995 and went to PPP with system 8.1 I do not like TTPro3 but I'm trying to repair the "conflict" that it claims I have. It's also telling me I have a MAJOR software conflict with my Extension: Iomega Driver not being compatible...well it's my internal Zip 100MB and Apple put it there. I'm not a techie.... I'm a surfer ....and every once in awhile I need advice, Thanks , Gail PM6500/250 3.7 GIGROM 56k 128MB RAM OS 8.6 3.7 GIG ROM 56k -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
