There was a thread on the list about timing issues with Sonnett's (or
Acard) ATA-66 PCI card, specifically "audio stuttering" which may have been
solved by faster ATA-100 cards. This had something to do with PCI slot's 33
mHz. data rate.

I currently use a Yamaha 2200E (20/10/40 - 8 MB buffer) IDE to which an
Iodata IDE to SCSI bridge is attached inside an external case I move
between one Mac to another, and which has no timing problems since it is
connected to the external SCSI bus. Toast Titanium recognizes it as Iodata
2200 CDRW. I got it from http://www.blackfire.com.au 3 years ago.
