Tis true, CD's are not as durable as you think. Don't believe me, ask disk jockies. CD has been playing fine then suddenly it gets caught up in "circular redundancy." My son swears that vinyl is still the choice of true audio purists. All I know is that I have CD's with Data on them that could once be read but now cannot, and you can forget about get Norton Utilities to correct the file format or the corrupted directory. Still, the most reliable way of saving information is on the big round tapes that you see on TV chugging along on mainframes, etc.. I am very bitter about early copy protection on Apple IIe stuff. Kids ruined it in one squabble, and disk drives go down and ruin disks. Now we have these bimbo, greedy music companies that are making 1000% profit are talking about copy protection. And we live under and administration which will side with them. Whoever voted for him, voted for him, and they get what they voted for. If you have an important CD, I would sure make an attempt at copying it. Dale -- Caddo County Harpman - ccharpman! "If you can't harp the blues, then you ain't a harp player."
