got this woeful report from my brother in law just today, right after he gave me his 6360 over thanksgiving. maybe somebody here can offer some help?
"One thing I forgot to do before I took down that computer was de-install a program I had on there called Screenwriter. That's kind of screwed me now. It's a very long story, but yesterday I spent about 2 hours on the phone with tech support at Applecare, trying to get my printer and my iBook to work together. After exhausting all the possibilities he could think of, the guy at Applecare decided that the reason nothing was working was because my system must have been corrupted, so he had me do a clean system re-install. Big mistake. Now NOTHING on my iBook works, and I've lost applications, extensions, and ALL my preferences. ...Jerk. Anyway, the reason I'm telling you all this is because I had Screenwriter installed on the 6360, and I didn't de-install it. Well, you only get 3 installs with the CD of the program, and I used all 3--one for the 6360, one for our iMac, and one for my iBook. Well, since the system re-install, the program won't work on my iBook, and every time I try to bring it up, it thinks I'm trying to pirate it ,and immediately quits. And, because I've already used my 3 installs, I can't just re-install it using the CD. The point of this long winded story is to ask you to specifically NOT EVER open Screenwriter. If I can't get the tech support people at Movie Magic to come up with a solution, I may have to come down there and de-install the program on yours with my CD.
