The problem as it is on a PC is that the computer tries to find an operating system on the first boot device which is your floppy. If it dosen't find it bootable and can find no other drive such as a hard drive bootable by DOS then it will give you that error so I would suspect that your boot floppy is defective or the floppy drive is not DOS compatible.
