Ben, Here's an FAQ for the PC cards: http://homepage.mac.com/olivers/DOScard/DOScard.html According to the manual the card must be installed in the slot nearest the processor, with the exception of the 4400 and 7220 where it goes in the second riser slot. I don't know if it will help in your case, but when I installed the card in my 9600 it was very picky about the order of the other cards as well. It kept freezing when I tried to install DOS 6.22, even though the card itself booted. All six slots in the machine are filled, so I had to do some juggling before the PC card was happy. I also performed a hard reset of the logic board by removing the PRAM battery overnight to solve an intermittent booting problem with the Mac caused by the card.
