Late production ... August, 1998, say, was all Rev. 3, irrespective of speed or model. /233 and /266 are often Rev. 1, but, as I stated, late /266 machines are Rev. 3. Even DTs. Refurbs, even late 1998 ones, are always "refurbed in kind", so if a machine started out as a Rev. 1, it will stay a Rev. 1 even if it left the factory (as a refurb) in late 1998. /300 and faster are always Rev. 2 or later. Mostly Rev. 3, in fact. If the Zip is EIDE, then the machine has to be a Rev. 2 or 3, period. Rev. 1 machines which were built with Zips always contain a SCSI Zip. If the machine originally came with UW-SCSI drives, then it is certainly possible for the machine to have a SCSI Zip.
