I have a question for anyone who has an opinion ( and who doesnt!) I have a 7300 with a Powerlogix G3 350/175 upgrade and 273 megs of RAM. It has two 1 gig internal drives, a 4 gig SCSI and a Zip 100. I not sure if I want to keep upgrading it. I'm considering maxing out the RAM to 1 gig and adding a video card with a IDE controller and a huge hard drive. According to the Powerlogix manual, the bus speed of the computer (which was/is approximately 47 mhz) is now irrelevant since I have the G3 card. Is this True? My dad thinks I should get a 8600/9600 since that has 3 extra PCI slots and a easy to open case. However, for almost the same price I could get a B&W G3 around 350 mhz. I've heard that the B&W has a 100 mhz bus speed. Would I see a big speed increase? Will I be able to attach my 4 gig SCSI drive to the G3 without having to use a controller?
