<<The list wont take it, period. I've been there, done that. I am talking
about

a problem I've seen since my days in the Quadlist 5-6 years ago. There are
some

characters like this one or this one that AOL treat as "utf-8" characters

instead of text. How can you explain why you can't see html emails on AOL and

you can't see links that can normally be seen with other email programs? Have

you ever gotten an email saying please click here, then below it "AOL users

please use this link" and there is a clickable link? AOL handles their email

messages differently, that's a fact. My proof is here this message didn't

bounce.>>

How is this proof? NONE of my messages bounce. NEVER. This one only bounced
because I copied his post. I find this very funny. I get, and can see html's
in my version of AOL. (5.0) It does bother me that I can't see the links, but
if I really want to see them, I boot Netscape and take a look. I've seen the
"AOL users click here", but don't understand why. I click on the regular
link, and lots of times it works fine. However, for the most part I bypass
the built in browser, because it doesn't always display the web page, which
has nothing to do with the e-mail. I'm not doubting they handle their e-mails
differently, as I know they do. But here's the point. In over 5 years of
using AOL, and as long as I have been posting to newsgroups, 2 vehicle and 3
Mac (LEM lists), I've always done everything the same way, I post a lot
(usually at least once a day) and I've only had this happen with this ONE
e-mail. ONE! I'm not saying it can't be something AOL is doing, but don't you
think that in over 500 posts, it would have happened more than once. I would.
I don't know. I could be wrong. My kids say I'm wrong all the time (19 - 24
yeras of age). ;-)

<<Not only that if you download a picture, graphic, or such file in AOL it is

usually downloaded with AOL's specificaltion as well and unless you convert it

from another program it stays like that and can only be opened from AOL.
Other

files apply but I ran out of ideas can't remember now.

Liliana >>

I know that downloaded graphics USED to have to be opened in AOL, but I
haven't had to do that in quite some time. It sounds like you haven't used
AOL in a long time, although, once again, I could be wrong.
