Uhhh....so what you are saying is that if I find an iMac Software Restore and a Software Install, that neither of these cds will allow me to set up the OS on my older Powermac (be it 8.6, 9.1 or 9.2 with os9forever)? What about ones labeled "Powermac G3 or G4"? I'm confused because the people selling these disks (the "install" cd anyway) say you can do a complete free standing version of that OS on any number of Macs. Again, I understand the "Restore" cd is strictly for the computer it was bundled with to restore it to factory condition, but the "install" cd doesn't work either? ................................Mike T. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frederick Silliman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PCI PowerMacs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 8:29 AM Subject: Re: OS 9.2.x on a pre-G3/G3-upgraded PCI Mac
