Wet morning welcome to you all and my wishes to all to enjoy a wonderful
Holiday Season.
Re; my double messages, Cox has insisted I get and run a Virus Scan
before they again attempt to assist me. I did order a $22.95 package
Norton Firewall and Virus program, in a boxed set. What I received was a
out of package Norton Internet Security User's Guide and CD, along with
a receipt for $22.95 plus shipping.

I tried to call OWC but they were closed, I accessed their Web Site and
attempted to contact their Customer Service via e-mail. When I clicked
on "submit" I immediately got a downloading Microsoft program. I had
just cleared all that garbage off of my hard drive as MS needs to know
nothing about me. I choose to not use their products. My Cable access is
Cox, my browser and e-mail program are Netscape only. I aborted the OWC
MS download and now have to wait until they reopen on Monday to clear
this up. Any ideas?

I have purchased an IOGEAR USB add-on PCI Card and a USB Card
Reader/Writer for Secure Digital in readiness for my Christmas gift from
my son of a 4MP Sharp Digital Camera, all from Fry's in Dallas, Tx. I
had also ordered two 128 ram chips.

Yesterday a MacUG member and friend came over to help solve some of my
ongoing problems, printer and inability to open attachments. I saw for
the first time Disk Warrior in use, it is impressive, and all 3 of my
drives are a go.

When problems persisted, he decided to reinstall OS 9.1. That went well
and necessary preferences and extensions were ported over. Printer
continued to balk and another attempt to download HP Driver finally
worked. I am still unable to open attachments, and am still receiving
duplicate messages about 10% of downloaded e-mails.

Unfortunately, the ram was delivered late last night long after my
friend had left. So now the hardware is waiting to be installed. One
gent Ed T has volunteered to lead me through opening the 7300 and
installing via phone. I am chicken.

Questions, what part of which program and where is it located to enable
me to open attachments? About the duplicate messages, is it possible a
virus is impacting my system. Cox is costing me money I scarcely have to
spend, especially at this time.
Thanks,
Teresa
