Hi, maybe someone has experienced this: the internal modem on my 6500 (Apple
/ GV 56k) produces no sound when it's connecting to the Internet. When I
first got the 6500 last week, it did the usual screeching sound but after I
removed some extensions and control panel that I did not need, it doesn't
anymore. I didn't remove extensions or cp related to ARA or OT. It does
connect at 48000 but it's completely silent. The support at Apple says some
internal modem needs an extension called network extension setup in order
to screech and suggest to reinstall OT. I did but the extension is nowhere
to be found anyway. Some suggestions??? System is 9.1, external speakers are
conencted and a microphone too.

Thanks many times
Germain
