if an install version of OS 8 comes on a cd, is it necessarily a power pc version of the OS? conversely, if an install version of OS 8.1 comes on floppies,is it necessarily the 68k version? I have OS 8.1 on floppies. I am wondering if the set is meant for quadras, to load thru the floppie drive [obviously] for 68k machines only, or if it would have the power pc version in it also, for machines like my 6360, that have both a floppy drive and a cd rom reader. There's an eBay auction for 8 on cd, that I'm wondering if I should have for power pc's, just to make sure I have everything I should to cover all bases--since god seems to keep giving me free macs of both families [68k and ppc]. whaddya think? should i compile a comlete library of all the OS versions, just to have within reach, on principle? were there any versions of OS 8 on cd that weren't all-purpose, all machine applicable? questions I ought to ask the seller?
